I led the design of a waiting room feature for T-Mobile’s e-commerce platform. The goal was to provide users with a clear, engaging queue experience while offering a unique way to interact with their purchase during high-traffic events.
Key Features & Design Goals
Real-time queue visualization
Displayed the user’s position in line, the number of people ahead, and an estimated wait time to set clear expectations.
Phone configuration while waiting
Allowed users to customize their device (e.g., selecting colors, storage options, and accessories) while in the queue, reducing friction at checkout.
Seamless integration
Designed to align with T-Mobile’s existing brand identity and ecommerce flow, ensuring a smooth user experience.

My Role
As the lead designer, I was responsible for all aspects of the project, including UX strategy, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design. I focused on creating an intuitive interface that kept users informed and engaged while optimizing the purchase journey.

Outcome
The proof of concept successfully demonstrated a functional, user-friendly queue system that not only managed high traffic efficiently but also enhanced customer engagement and conversion rates by integrating product configuration into the wait experience.
